“Dimchev inspires a rare form of trust by cultivating an intimate community with the audience.” The New York Times
“Dimchev is a first-rate lyricist, profound even when plain… As a performer, he slides effortlessly between masculine and feminine modes; his vocal range is equally protean, moving from a low baritone to a soprano embellished with theremin-like vibratos.” –The New Yorker
“Dimchev’s voice is one that is always shedding its chrysalis to metamorphose, from low and nasal to high and flutey and everywhere in between. It could be as fine as a brushstroke, then as wide as a cathedral. All at once he scatted and ululated and yodeled, punctuated with grunts. His microphone seemed to drip with butter. “ San Francisco Chronicle
"Dimchev not only confirms his exceptional talent and ability to push the boundaries of traditional art, but also invites the audience to reflect on profound themes in a context of experimentation and innovation.” Interludes
"Animalistic one moment, delicate the next, he meshes darkness and lightness with verbal and physical dexterity." - The New York Times
"His beautiful singing sounds like a voice on an old record: poignantly far away." - Financial Times
"METCH is a seemingly haphazard mash-up of performance styles that both parodies and excavates the act of performance — as only Dimchev can. Pushing the boundaries of what constitutes audience interaction. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. " Adrian Dimanlig- Interludes
